What a day Friday was, in the afternoon Route 81 won the Volunteer group of the year at the TSI (Third Sector Initiative) awards for their intergenerational project with with Crosslet House 502924376 1231141795473745 6434014825469870067 n

Then in the evening we had the Project 81 Awards night. Congratulations to all who received their volunteering certificate. More photos on the gallery page

The event honoured 59 volunteers who dedicated 3,512 hours to support the charity's activities.

MSP Jackie Baillie and Caryl McLean from Argyll and Bute presented the Saltire Volunteer awards.

Lisa Carr, a mentor for the employability programme Positive Destinations, presented certificates to the employability team.

She celebrated three young adults who achieved the Saltire 500 hours award.

Project 81 chair Maurice Corry handed out the Route 81 Annual Achievement Awards.

Jack Slee won the Star Performer award for volunteering the most hours.

David Wynne received the World of Difference award for his dedication over the past 18 months.

The Flame of Friendship trophy, in memory of former member Izzy Innocent, was awarded to Gabriella McNair for her "kindness, thoughtfulness and generosity."
