Volunteering at Project 81
Project 81 is a vibrant community based charity but we could not achieve the things we do without the help of our volunteers.
There are many different ways you can help Project 81.
Fundraising
If you can't be a regular volunteer but would like to support what we do why not help with fundraising. Fundraisers have done everything from stand up comedy to throwing yourself off a very tall tower
.
Do what ever you love to help the work we do. Even buying a raffle ticket or attending an event all helps.
Route 81
Youth work can be challenging but enormous fun. We have young people from 11 to 17 and some older ex members who have come back as volunteers. Sessions require a strict ratio of adults to Young people to happen. Sessions can involve evenings in the hub or working on specific projects. It is essential for volunteers to be reliable as without them sessions have to be cancelled. While commitment is important it does not have to mean every week. We have a bank of volunteers to cover sessions so if you can only do an occasional session that is absolutely fine.

Centre 81
Centre 81 provides a great space for clubs and societies. On many occasions we provide lunches and kitchen volunteers are most welcome.
We also have a community garden which all can use and take produce from for free, do you love gardens and gardening, the garden team would love to hear from you. (Thursdays 10am to 2pm lunch available)
The centre is always in need of maintenance, could you provide your skills to help us keep the building clean, fresh and everything working.
If you prefer office work help is always needed to keep the office running efficiently. If you are interested or would like to know more please contact

Charity Trustee
Project 81 is run by a board of Trustees/Directors. meetings take place 4-5 times a year and usually last about 2hrs. Policy decisions are made at such meetings, grants applications discussed and finances overseen.
All members of the local community are welcome to apply but currently the board would particular like to hear from people with HR , Financial and Grant application experience.
We require a CV, references and you would have to become a member of the PVG (Protection of vulnerable groups) scheme. Why not pop in to one of our events to see what we do and have a chat.
